We got 14 gold medals...the most of all the countries competing.....including hockey gold!

Yonge Street, recognized as the longest street in the world, with a length of 1900km or 1,178 miles -- roughly the distance from San Diego, California, to Seattle, Washington was partly closed out by cheering crowds.

Karin, we were sitting there shouting for Canada all through the Olympics! I'm surprised you didn't hear us from there! We were glued to the men's curling - and from being disinterested in ice hockey ('what's that??'), we're now full-on fans. Well done, Canada!! Well done, Canadians!!!

You *should* be proud, Karin. What a great showing. (And since I have Canadian blood, I'm gonna be proud, too!) My sister was torn between rooting for the US or the Canadian hockey team. She's a huge Sidney Crosby fan, tho, and really wanted him to take home a gold. And he did!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your gold medals and the highly organized games. I looked yesterday at the hockey game, which was very exciting and I saw those two men with the flags! I'm a big hockey fan, my son played hockey years, not as good as your team did! :D

Congrats to the hosting country! The Olympics are always filled with elation, victory, heartbreak and disappointment but always inspiring to watch! I am happy for all of the winners and sad for all who went away without a win but admiring of every one!
